Every watch gets scored 1–5 stars across five categories:
- Look — design, dial, presence on the wrist
- Feel — build quality, comfort, materials
- Accuracy — how well it actually keeps time
- Water Resistance — real-world durability
- Value — is it worth the price?

Each week, one watch reviewed on Tock Bottom is given away to a randomly selected email subscriber. By subscribing to the Tock Bottom email list, you're automatically entered into that week's drawing.
- Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are 18 or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited.
- How to enter: Subscribe to the email list (free). One entry per person per drawing. Donating via Buy Me a Coffee has no effect on your odds.
- Drawing: Winners are chosen at random from active subscribers and notified by email. If a winner doesn't respond within 7 days, an alternate may be selected.
- Prize: The watch featured in that week's review. No cash alternative. Shipping is covered within the United States only.
- Odds: Depend on the number of subscribers at drawing time.
